Back in 1956 Eero Saarinen was designing a collection to "clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home." This quote is taken from Time magazine's cover story. Later that year Saarinen completed his Pedastal Table and Tulip chair collection.
The pedastal table is based on a drop of high-viscosity liquid. This simplicity achieves the clutter-free effect Saarinen was after with his table design.
Our tables are available in a number of sizes, from side tables through to large dining tables. All our tops are made with marble, available in both white or black.
Materials:
Our table tops are natural marble featuring a protective sealer. The Table base is constructed from moulded, cast aluminum strap polished and coated in a tough, abrasion-resistant rilsan finish.
