How to look good naked? Sit on one of our chairs! Iconic Interiors teams up with Channel 4.
Christine Keeler showed us how it was done back in 1963 when she sat astride a chair that was supposedly designed by the great Arne Jacobsen (incidental note for all you furniture fanatics: the chair, which is now on display at the V&A Museum, London is in fact a modified replica recognisable by the hand grip aperture in the back and not a Jacobsen original).
Now in 2007 we at Iconic Interiors are proud to be part of the celebration of the female form over again as we have contributed furniture for the set for the third series of the acclaimed Channel 4 show 'How to Look Good Naked'.
For those that have not seen the show, a woman who has perhaps lost a certain amount of self confidence, or indeed who never had it to lose, is convinced that despite the lumpy and bumpy bits (with which most of us are afflicted) she can feel good about herself.
The course of each show follows a single subject and their voyage of self discovery to, hopefully, a new found self esteem. This journey concludes with a professional photography shoot of the woman as nature intended (well as nature intended plus great lighting and carefully construed poses) and one of the resulting photographs is projected onto the side of a building for the world to see.
Having recently changed the Iconic Interiors home page to feature the red Bibendum chair we were contacted by the Channel 4 team responsible for putting together the show and were happy to supply them with this iconic piece of furniture.
The new series first airs on Tuesday 27th February at 8:30 pm and then each Tuesday for 8 episodes, it is well worth a viewing to check out the set and to watch Gok Wan (Expert Stylist) give these deserving woman a chance to feel great about themselves and their very real beauty without the aid of a scalpel or a Trinny and Susannah style 'poking'.
A super reality TV show; in my opinion one of the best, and we are thrilled to have been able to play our part in making it happen.
If you would like to look good naked you can contact the show as they are currently looking for applicants to star in the next series by calling Maverick TV on 0207 874 6616 or emailing howtolookgoodnaked@mavericktv.co.uk
...or alternatively why not treat yourself to a Bibendum chair of your very own and practise looking good naked from the privacy of your own home?
