The Iconic Interiors team visit the NEC Furniture Show in search of Chaise Longues...
Seeing as our phone has rung off the hook with potential customers keen to see what chaise longues Iconic Interiors can offer the Furniture Show at the Birmingham NEC this weekend offered us the perfect opportunity to see what was available to increase our existing range.
A really great choice was available to suit every taste and bank balance; we only wish that we had enough warehouse space and web site pages to offer them all! Over this next fortnight we will be busy short-listing the possible styles, finalising arrangements, thoroughly checking samples and making them available for your consideration and hopefully purchase.
We also held meetings with several accessories suppliers and have found some real delights that again we hope to be offering on the site very soon.
Call me vain (you won't be the first!) but I love mirrors and I have found some that are the perfect accompaniments to the Iconic Interiors furniture ranges, echoing the same design principles, curves and shapes. My personal favourite is a mirror made from a series of equal sized disks that will look perfect juxtaposed with the Marshmallow Sofa.
Whilst I was admiring my reflection Mark took to investigating lighting and placed several orders for samples that will hopefully also take a proud place on the site.
Overall I think we covered several hundred miles walking around the 4 halls that comprised the show and although thoroughly worn out by the time we left we were in agreement that it had been a productive day. We hope you feel the same way when you see these items making their debut on the site.
For those that were wondering...general interiors trends for the coming year seem to be very much in the monochrome, and black leather has made a real comeback replacing the chocolate browns and ivories that were prevalent this time last year.
Soft furnishings were either in bold patterns, black and white geometrics and bold florals both seemed popular, or for those that prefer plain colour - duck egg blue and muted lime green served to remind us that Spring is just around the corner.
